Woohoo!!! -0.2%! #Winning!

Congrats, Mississippi, you're the only state where ObamaCare ISN'T making rates skyrocket!

If you have the misfortune of living in any one of 49 states, I have bad news for you. The average 2016 healthcare premium is going to skyrocket thanks to ObamaCare. 17 states will see their rates jump by at least 20%, while five of them - Minnesota, Alaska, Tennessee, Hawaii, and Oklahoma - will see truly staggering increases of 30-47%. The majority will see double-digit increases.

But, hey, why be so "glass 98% empty" about this? Obama has promised us that his namesake legislation is "working" and in one state it actually is. Sort of. Ok, fine, it's “not really but kinda" working. According to Freedom Partners (a VA.-based conservative non-profit) Mississippi will see premiums drop by a whopping 0.2%. Let that sink in: one fifth of a percent! I'm not sure how much the average person will save, since deductibles will probably still go up, but a quick Google search reveals the average Mississippi healthcare premium is currently running about $2800. That means at -0.2%, you'll be saving somewhere in the neighborhood of six bucks! Sure, it's not the "$2,000 per family" the President promised but it's almost a meal at McDonalds. That's a good chunk of change! You should stop whining and show your superiors a little gratitude. Try not to spend it all in one place. Below you'll find a list of the states facing the worst rate hikes, and you can view a complete list of increases (not you lucky Mississippians!) HERE
