Hillary: Unsecure homebrew server was a mistake because of the reaction to it

Not because it broke the law or compromised national security

It's a cringeworthy four minutes - during her editorial board interview with the Quad-City Times - but it's also an enlightening case study in how a person bobs and weaves when completely in denial and unwilling under any circumstances to acknowledge culpability:

Three quick points:
  1. Her predecessors had private accounts, but they did not use them exclusively for all work-related e-mail, which was the real problem where Hillary is concerned. She has continually lied about that.
  2. The question about establishing policies against this in a Hillary administration was a huge fumble on the questioner's part. These policies are already in place, and Hillary keeps lying about that too by suggesting everything she did was allowed.
  3. Don't miss the fact that by saying it was only a mistake because of the reaction to it, she's saying the problem really lies with you and not with her.
