Reid adds Obamacare funding 5 minutes after cloture vote....

CR passes cloture, 79-19; meet the Republicans who voted for it

As Senator Cruz said, "a vote for cloture is a vote for Obamacare." About an hour ago, the Continuing Resolution which defunded the affordable care act passed its cloture vote and, only a few minutes later, Senate Dems voted to strip the "defunding" language. They also removed a debt-limit provision and altered the length of the CR from December 15th to November 15th. The shortened time frame is designed to aid Democrat strategies that will seek to eliminate the sequester.
Ted Cruz released a statement, saying “Today, far too many Republicans joined Harry Reid in giving the Democrats the ability to fund Obamacare. When the bill comes back to the Senate, when the House yet again stands for principle and fights for the American people, I very much hope that Senate Republicans will rise to the challenge. We are stronger when we are united, and we can defeat Obamacare only if Senate Republicans come together, stand with House Republicans, and champion the millions of Americans being harmed by this disastrous healthcare law.” Here are the 25 GOP members who voted "yea" and stood with Democrats to advance the CR.
