SCOTUS allows most of Trump travel ban to go into effect - will hear oral arguments in the fall

Today, the Supreme court agreed to hear oral arguments regarding President Trump's travel ban that would impact people entering the U.S. from six predominantly-Muslim countries. They'll be hearing those oral arguments in the fall but, in the meantime, they've decided that most of the ban can go into effect. It's expected to take somewhere in the neighborhood of 72 hours for that to happen.

Chris Matthews laments hidden Trump vote and wonders 'what the hell' Jon Ossoff was selling

Like a lot of people, Chris Matthews wants to know why Jon Ossoff was running in the GA06 special election. He wandered into town, was buoyed by a tidal wave of out-of-state left-wing cash, revealed himself to be a guy without a message, and promptly lost. In a way, he was a bit like Hillary Clinton in that no one is entirely sure there was a reason for his candidacy.

Canadian Sniper sets world record with 2-mile kill shot against ISIS operative

When it comes to amazing snipers and their even more amazing abilities, we have a new world-record holder. An unidentified Canadian special forces operative has obliterated the old longest-confirmed-kill record with an astonishing 2-mile shot. The previous longest shot was made by a British sniper at a distance of 8,120 feet or 2,475 meters.

Mika and Joe trash Dems for having no message - but they're wrong.

That headline might be just a tad misleading. The Morning Joe super-team of Joe and Mika were discussing the Dems' failure in the GA06 special election, and they each had their opinions about why Ossoff couldn't get the job done. Both of them got close to being correct but, like Jon Ossoff, they couldn't quite get across the finish line. Chalk up another moral victory.

Watch a former US Special forces soldier run through ISIS gunfire to save a little civilian girl in Mosul

The old media loves to portray the U.S. military as uncaring warmongers running roughshod over the globe. To them, the United States is always the problem, never the solution. The truth is that members of the American Armed Forces have a long history of trying to assist local civilians during engagements, and lending aid and comfort is almost always one of their primary goals.

Colin Kaepernick compares all police to fugitive slave patrols, reminds us why he can't get a job

Colin Kaepernick is unemployed. Apparently, large companies - including sports teams - tend to avoid hiring people who've proven themselves to be massive PR nightmares. After all, if having someone on your staff means you spend all your time putting out the media fires they create, that person isn't going to last very long. Once word gets out that he's a "problem employee," finding a new gig in the same field is going to be tough.

Vladimir Putin trolls fired FBI director James Comey - in epic fashion

One gets the idea that Vladimir Putin really enjoys watching Democrats embarrass themselves, and their country, via their asinine witch hunt. Partly, that's because he's no friend of the United States, and (like the Dems) he will do - or applaud - pretty much anything that weakens our President.

In response to Alexandria shooting, NYT dredges up false claims about Sarah Palin and Gabby Giffords

Earlier, I showed you how Chris Matthews was coping with the fact that a hardcore leftist tried to assassinate a wide swath of Republican congressmen. His reaction was to sympathize with the would-be killer. Over at the New York Times, the editorial board chose a different course. They decided to equivocate by dredging up a phony conspiracy theory that blamed Sarah Palin for the Gabrielle Giffords shooting:
