Iran terrified over new Saudi initiative to fight terrorism

Thirty-five states have signed a bold new joint statement announcing the formation of a military coalition led by Saudi Arabia to significantly upgrade the fight against terrorism. This new initiative can provide the ground forces needed on the ground to yield positive and constructive results from airstrikes being carried out by a highly criticized U.S.-led coalition against ISIS in Iraq and Syria that has failed to bear the necessary fruit. What is interesting is the fact that Iran is now terrified over this new coalition, seeing its interests in the Middle East being dangerously jeopardized.

Low down dirty shame: Iran officials, pro-regime media express consent over Paris attacks

As Paris and the world are left horrified and utterly shocked over attacks described as Europe’s 9/11, what is even more unbelievable and outright shameful is the fact that officials and pro-regime media in Iran are actually expressing consent. Everyone knows Iran has a long and dreadful history of supporting international terrorism and recently dubbed as the Godfather of ISIS. Obama's failed approach to rein in Iran's nuclear ambitions

With the specter of the November 24 deadline looming on the horizon, a tough and determined position toward Iran is essential in saving the day. But President Barack Obama seems to be poised on repeating his previous mistakes in dealing with the Iranian regime. That is what his latest letter to the Iranian regime's supreme leader Ali Khamenei indicates, in which he made cooperation with Iran against ISIS on achieving a nuclear deal. The missive--which happened to be the fourth of its kind--was riddled with misconceptions, and proves that despite his failed attempts, Obama is still adamant that he can tackle one of the most vicious regimes through rapprochement.

Iran’s regional hegemony threatened by the war against ISIS

Iran’s regional hegemony threatened by the war against ISIS
After years of enjoying the position of the main hegemon in Iraq and Syria, Iran is now facing an escalating dilemma as other powers have entered the scene to deal with the rising threat of the Islamic State (also known as ISIS or ISIL), an extremist group which has occupied stretches of Iraqi and Syrian territory in the past months.

Iran is not the enemy of the ISIS

Iran is not the enemy of the ISIS
If you think the principle "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" applies to Iranian regime with respect to the Islamic State--also known as ISIS or ISIL--think again. The reality is that the Iranian regime has been taking advantage of the onslaught of the Islamic State to further its own agendas in the region. Reciprocally, the Islamic State owes much of its recent gains in power, territory and riches to the Iranian regime and its cohorts in the region.
