The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) Monday released a video (below) that asserts the National Institutes of Health (NIH) uses taxpayer funds to sponsor experimentation at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) on aborted babies obtained from a local Planned Parenthood facility.
“The University of Pittsburgh is a hub for some of the most barbaric experiments carried out on late-term aborted human infants,” the video’s narrator states, “experiments funded by the United States government, at the same time the university sponsors the local Planned Parenthood abortion business.”
Wednesday on FNC’s “Hannity,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed President Joe Biden’s address to a joint session of Congress on multiple policy fronts.
The Texas Republican U.S. Senator called the speech “frightening” while masquerading as “boring.”
Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) on Wednesday delivered the Republican response to President Joe Biden’s first speech to a joint session of Congress, telling the country unequivocally that “America is not a racist country.”
Scott’s message stood starkly against that of Biden’s; the president told Congress during his own speech that “systemic racism plagues American life” in many ways and has, since becoming president, infused the concept of “racial equity” into several components of his agenda.
On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Weekends with Alex Witt,” Congressional Black Caucus Chair Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH) argued that police officers “could shoot in the air” and that “Teachers go and break up fights with knives every day.”
Beatty said, “We have to have a better way of de-escalating. Here is an occurrence where the police knew they were coming with two girls fighting — or a girl and two adults fighting.
Friday, during an appearance on FNC’s “Fox News Primetime,” Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) criticized federal government officials, including National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci and President Joe Biden, for the promotion and justification of continued mask-wearing by the public, even in private situations.
Paul questioned the efficacy of fully vaccinated individuals wearing a mask and suggested the mask push could harm efforts to encourage vaccinations if the public does not believe the vaccine has an impact on protecting against the COVID-19 virus.
A Project Veritas undercover investigation published Tuesday revealed CNN Technical Director Charlie Chester acknowledging his company’s focus on removing President Donald Trump from the White House.
In a montage of surreptitiously recorded video, Chester made many remarks about CNN’s partisan political mission and deceptive conduct. He also credited CNN as an essential tool in the ousting of Trump.
Reporters loudly objected to the use of the word “riot” by a Minnesota police chief after his officers were assaulted and injured by bricks, rocks, and frozen soda cans, he explained. The chief defended the term by describing the incidents encountered by officers at the station Sunday night.
“Just so everybody is clear, I was front and center at the protest, at the riot,” Brooklyn, Minnesota, Police Chief Tim Gannon told reporters during a press conference Monday. His response came to a question from reporters about why he authorized the use of gas canisters following the issuance of a dispersal order.
White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci on Sunday advised people who have been vaccinated for COVID-19 to hold off on congregating indoors to eat or drink.
Mehdi Hasan, host of MSNBC’s “The Mehdi Hasan Show,” asked Fauci, “What is the message to vaccinated and unvaccinated Americans as to what they should and should not be doing right now? For example, eating and drinking indoors in restaurants and bars — is that OK now?”
Vice President Kamala Harris, tapped by President Joe Biden to fix the border crisis, has compared the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency she will have to rely on to the Ku Klux Klan, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) noted Friday.
He added that unless it changes its approach to immigration, the Biden administration is not up to the task of fixing the problems at the border.
On Friday’s broadcast of “Fox News Primetime,” Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) criticized Democrats for saying that the filibuster is racist after they used the filibuster to block his police reform bill last year.
Scott said, “It was a frustrating, irritating moment where the Democrats used the filibuster to block police reform that would have positively impacted disproportionately African American communities. Here’s what we know about the Democrats: They were for the filibuster before they were against the filibuster. I keep asking myself, will the real Chuck Schumer please stand up? Is it the one who was for the filibuster or is it the new one who’s now against the filibuster?”
On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “All In,” House Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee Chairwoman Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) discussed the subcommittee’s hearing with the CEOs of Facebook, Google, and Twitter and said that the hearing’s purpose was to send the message to tech companies “That we’re going to regulate. We’re going to legislate.” And that there “have to be some limitations, not just on advertising.”
Schakowsky said of the hearing, “So, the purpose really was, from my point of view, to make sure that the tech companies understood that the day of self-regulation has really ended. And that, now, it is time for us to regulate, and that we intend to. That we’re going to regulate. We’re going to legislate.”
Appearing on the FOX Business Channel, Gila Bend, Arizona, Mayor Chris Riggs said his town declared a state of emergency after the Biden administration ignored multiple requests for assistance amid the growing U.S.-Mexico border crisis.

NEIL CAVUTO: Mayor, you’ve declared a state of emergency in your town. How bad is this getting?
CHRIS RIGGS: Effective tonight at our council meeting, our emergency order will become official. After yesterday’s drop, it really showed we do not have the resources to handle all these people being dropped in on us by border patrol and that we need help. I have requested multiple times for information about assistance. I’m not getting it. The only other alternative I have is to declare an emergency and really try to force people’s hands to provide me with the resources I need for what the federal government’s doing to us.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) likened basic election integrity measures embraced by several states, such as voter ID, to the era of Jim Crow and accused the GOP of attempting to suppress voters. He made the remarks during Wednesday’s Senate Rules and Administration Committee hearing on S 1, or the “For the People Act,” which critics warn will strip power from the states and federalize U.S. elections.
Speaking to his colleagues during the hearing, Schumer blasted Republican state legislatures, such as Georgia’s, for pursuing basic election integrity measures, calling it “infuriating” and accusing Republicans of being “afraid” of democracy and trying to prevent people from voting.
Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) said Tuesday on CNN’s “OutFront” that Republican lawmakers were “complicit” in all the mass shootings that take place in the United States, given their opposition to gun legislation.
Blumenthal said, “In Boulder, that shooter is a deeply disturbed man who became a mass killer because he had an assault weapon that can kill people with the efficiency and speed meant for the battlefield. So guns make all these problems more fatally and deadly, especially for domestic violence victims who then can be killed, five times more likely to be killed in those situations. That’s why we need to make sure we adopt these common-sense measures.”
Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that he is “close” to securing the Republican votes needed to overcome a Senate filibuster to advance the so-called DREAM Act, which would create a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children.
Anchor Dana Bash asked, “I know you’ve been working on the issues for decades. Even the DREAM Act, which has pretty bipartisan support, could you get that done right given the fact that Republicans are saying I’m not doing anything until what is going on at the border is fixed right now?”
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas blamed former President Donald Trump on Sunday’s “State of the Union” on CNN for the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Anchor Dana Bash asked, “The Biden administration, though, is, as you mentioned, now allowing unaccompanied children into the U.S., different from the Trump administration. Clearly, you don’t have the infrastructure to handle this many children right now. As I mentioned, more than 600 children have been in Border Protection custody for more than ten days, far longer than is acceptable and allowed by law. That’s three days. So, did you change the policy too quickly without having the infrastructure in place to take care of these children?”
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the House Judiciary Committee ranking member, recounted some of the aspects of a hearing and Big Tech, where he questioned how the First Amendment applied in certain circumstances.
Jordan explained much of what Democrats were doing in the beginning stages of this Congress had bypassed the committee process.
