Lindsey Graham to fundraise for "wacko bird" he joked about killing on the Senate floor

It's possible that, in all of politics, there's no more shameless, unpleasant, and yet ultimately-inconsequential creature than Lindsey Graham. Like a political remora, he'll suck up to whatever candidate he feels will drop enough leftovers to allow him to keep swimming. Previously, he hitched his wagon to the failure known as John McCain. Now, apparently, he'll be stumping for Ted Cruz. To set the stage, let's remember that Lindsey Graham is a vile worm who - just a few weeks ago - was joking about murdering Cruz on the Senate floor.
(Video below) Hilarious. However, this Gollum-esque creature must have dropped its raw fish, poked its head out of its cave, and sniffed a change in the political winds. On Monday, he'll be headlining a Ted Cruz fundraiser.
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham has thrown his support to Ted Cruz, calling him "the best alternative" to Donald Trump. According to an invitation obtained by POLITICO, Graham will headline a fundraiser for Cruz on Monday. This marks the second senator to publicly support Cruz, and is a significant development: Graham, a more centrist South Carolina senator, until recently openly detested his colleague from Texas. But in recent weeks he has suggested that Cruz stands the best chance of beating Donald Trump.
I'm going to forego the whole "Lindsey Graham is a shifty scumbag" thing because, if you're interested in politics, you already know that. Graham has proven his worthlessness a thousand times over. All I'll say is this: I understand how politics works. I get that money makes the world go 'round. But I'd love to live in a world where Ted Cruz would see Lindsey Graham supporting him and say "thanks but no thanks. We don't need people...like you."
