British cops forced to apologize for using insensitive 'Allahu Akbar' shout during terrorism drill

Whenever I'm tempted to think the politically correct madness in the United States has hit its apex, I look at Europe. By comparing our nation to that trainwreck, I realize that we're still only about halfway down the long path to cultural self-immolation. Take a look at London, where police who were engaged in a terror-attack response drill were forced to apologize. It seems they committed the modern P.C. movement's cardinal sin. They dared to assume that a terrorist attack in the city would more than likely be carried out by a Muslim, so they had their fake terrorist shout "Allahu Ackbar" before blowing himself up.
That's simply unacceptable. From the AP:
British police have apologized for having a mock suicide bomber shout the phrase "Allahu Akbar" before setting off an explosion during a terror response exercise. Greater Manchester Police said in a statement Tuesday it had been "unacceptable" to use the religious phrase as part of the terror drill at a major Manchester shopping mall. Police Chief Tony Lloyd said the use of the phrase could "undermine" strong community relations in the city.
Just. Wow.

Here's a thought: Maybe, just maybe, if using the phrase "Allahu Akbar" during a terrorism drill is enough to demolish your totally strong community relations, they weren't so strong in the first place. Or maybe, if the fear of reprisal forces you to apologize for acknowledging something that seems to happen in an awful lot of terror attacks, you should rethink the overall value of those relations. Or maybe, once again just maybe, if you muster the temerity it takes to say "hey, Islam is a part of this and it's a problem, so too damn bad about the whole Allahu Ackbar thing," well.... maybe you've signaled your weakness and you've already lost. Heck, even the PC sheep at the AP have figured this one out:
Islamic State extremists have often used the phrase before attacking civilian targets.
Ya don't say, AP. Thank God you're here to tell us these things! Now apologize. That inarguable fact you just printed may hurt people's feelings.
