Whoops! There were "errors."

Obama admin: Sure we'll release the rest of those emails - in a little over two years

Obama's State Department wants to turn over around 14,000 pages of emails from Hillary's staff, the Clinton Foundation, and the Clinton-connected firm, Teneo Consulting. No, don't laugh. Really - they do. They're super-eager to let you wade through that archive, they're trying to be as forthcoming as they possibly can, and they'll hand it all over very, very, soon. Anyone buying that? No? Good. That's a sign that you're not insane.
In fact, you're right as rain. On Wednesday, Obama administration lawyers asked a federal court for some extra time during which they will not let you see those reams of shady communications. How much time? Well, let's just say - surprise, surprise - that it won't be before the 2016 election. I know. You're shocked.
In a court filing on Wednesday, administration lawyers said the State Department miscalculated the amount of material it would need to process the documents as part of a lawsuit with the conservative organization Citizens United. As a result, the government asked for a 27-month delay to release the emails, which were originally due out on July 21. “State deeply regrets these errors, and is working diligently to correct them as quickly as possible,” the lawyers said.

Whoops! There were "errors." Color us shocked. What, pray tell, might those errors be?
Among other errors, State officials said than an initial test looking at just 300 emails, which was used to calculate the amount of time necessary to process the emails, neglected to include keyword searches of the messages. Instead, they only searched the “To” and “From” lines of the messages, which failed to catch many emails. State Department officials also “inadvertently” labeled some email attachments as irrelevant to the open records request, without checking them to make sure.
Yep, it's the same old song and dance that we've seen from the IRS and the State Department throughout Obama and Clinton's tenure. They lie, get caught, find themselves in hot water, then they delay releasing the truth until a politically convenient time of their choosing. It's getting to the point where it's difficult to remember how often this has happened.

...The most transparent administration in history

I suppose, at this point, we're just supposed to sit down, shut up, and accept it. Perhaps we're supposed to be grateful that these cowardly, obfuscating, vermin are actually admitting a record of these conversations even exists. In previous instances of this tactic they've tried to pretend everything was "lost," or "wiped," or "damaged," or "irretrievable," or the "fault of a YouTube video." Once again, folks - this is supposedly "the most transparent administration in history." We must have missed the part where that claim placed on hold when they have an obviously crooked candidate running for election.
