Dr. Beverly A. Goldstein:

Bringing Congressional District 11 in Ohio Back Home

Dr. Beverly A. Goldstein, running for better representation for Ohio's 11th congressional district, has a dream she wants to make come true for the people of District 11: Dr. Goldstein wants Election 2016 to bring sunlight into one of the most largely ignored districts on the entire electoral map. The people of District 11, which includes most of the black-majority areas all the way between Cleveland and Akron, Ohio have taken a back seat in needed attention to problem solving for the past eight years, while their representative, Rep. Marcia Fudge has been off chasing dreams of personal fame. For far too long, no one's been home in Ohio District 11; no one but staff trained to keep constituents' calls for help off the plate of searching-for-fame butterfly Rep. Fudge.
Washington, DC, which rarely hears about the ongoing problems of some 725,000 people in District 11 Ohio is likely not even aware that they are being largely ignored. During her eternal search for greener pastures for herself, Rep. Fudge struck fame only last month when she was appointed permanent chairwoman of the Democratic National Convention. Make that One for Rep. Fudge, but Zero for the people she is supposed to represent back home in Ohio. Fudge, who came in with the Obama tide back in 2008, has been rarely seen by her constituents in her home district ever since. The Home Office doesn't offer the same mainstream media fame that comes from being there for Democrat bigwigs like presidential candidate Hillary Clinton with and for whom she campaigns. Dr. Goldstein, who's been working with the people of District 11 for the past 40+ years, wants the problems of the district's people moved from the back burner to the front one, and as soon as possible. Only Dr. Goldstein has called Fudge out for abandoning District 11's 725,000 good people. Democratic leaders like Rep. Charlie Rengel of New York recently gushed that Fudge "has so many capabilities that every time I see an opportunity for her to excel I wish the whole nation and the world would know her as well as I do."

The people whom she was elected to serve should have first rights on getting to know Marcia Fudge. Problem is, Mr. Rengel, that Fudge was not elected to serve the world, nor to explore outside opportunities for fast ladder-climbing. She was elected to serve the people of District 11 Ohio, and at last count that's not what she's spending her time doing. Beverly A. Goldstein, who for the past decade has developed a reputation as a national security grassroots leader and community educator in Ohio, seeks to put the 725,000 back in the picture with fair representation in Congress and at the White House. "It is not winning blue ribbons from the Democrat elite that will solve the largely unattended and ongoing problems faced by the people in a largely unrepresented district, but someone who will make sure their needs get to Washington," Goldstein told Canada Free Press. Many of District 11's constituents get the distinct impression that there is no one at home when they call their representative's office for help, and as Dr. Goldstein points out, the list is growing by day. "Goldstein said District 11 constituents--about 54% are black--are saying that while they had no trouble seeing the congresswoman's most recent predecessors, Stephanie Tubbs Jones and Louis Stokes, they largely get no response from Fudge. () [JUDI, IS THIS A QUOTE FROM ART MOORE'S ARTICLE IN WORLD NET DAILY?] She says she's hearing the same story from people from all walks of life, including veterans, poor people and consultants: They've each tried three or four times to get Fudge's help but receive no response." Since scoring Hillary Clinton's handpicked replacement for Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Fudge has been basking in newfound glory and has continued following Clinton like a shadow out on the campaign trail. But Fudge's unbridled ambitions are doing nothing for the hunger pangs of the inner city minority residents whose complaints she continues to dodge. This is why Dr. Goldstein is trying to find sunlight for the inner city minority residents of the district in Cleveland and Akron she wants to represent:
  • Hunger-3rd in the nation;
  • Child Hunger-1% in the nation.
  • 17% Unemployment--if the eight wealthy suburban cities in District 11 are removed from the equation, District unemployment is estimated to be 40% or more. This lack of jobs has resulted in:
    • Poverty
    • Homelessness
    • Infant Death, Birth to 1 year-1st in the nation,
    • Domestic Abuse
    • Problematic Police-Community Relations

"In her years in Washington Fudge has allowed herself to be captured by the DC Elitist Establishment," says Dr. Goldstein, "For months she has traveled around the country campaigning with Hillary Clinton, She has continuously demonstrated that she cares more about being a member of the political insider crowd than she cares about the severe daily problems facing her own constituents." Goldstein, who has earned three degrees, including a Ph.D., has more than 40 years of experience in health care, including university inner-city hearing clinics and outreach, and ownership of an entrepreneurial audiology business in which she served people in the inner city by providing home health care. The antithesis of Marcia Fudge, who doesn't hear her constituents, Goldstein used her knowledge and expertise in hearing to gift the people of District 11 with their own children's hearing and speech, working with the Ohio Department of Health and Ohio Senator Grace Drake to draft and facilitate passage by the Ohio General Assembly of an Ohio law requiring mandatory hearing screening of all newborns. This landmark legislation revolutionized early identification of hearing loss in Ohio infants, enabling speech-language pathologists to treat language developmental delays prior to the age of 18 months. These children are eligible for immediate language development treatment, and for hearing aids and cochlear implants, which enable them to experience the timely development of language. Beverly Goldstein would also have the backs of District 11's people covered on national security issues. Dr. Goldstein, who has been lobbying Congress for ten years on national security issues on behalf of many non-profit organizations, organized the August 2015 Cleveland Stop Iran Nuclear Deal Rally to pressure Congress to vote "No" on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) regarding Barack Obama's Iran deal. She began her political career and grassroots work as a donor member and leader of a number of national and international organizations, including the Association of Former Intelligence Officers, ACT! for America, Leadership Level of the Republican Jewish Coalition, and Christians United for Israel. Convinced that the people of District 11 deserve to find their representative in his/her constituency office and that they deserve the courtesy of response on requests for help, Beverly Goldstein will be right at home , where Marcia Fudge should have been during the past eight years: at home in the district constituency office. Meanwhile, Dr. Goldstein is looking for help from We the People to bring Congressional District 11 in Ohio back home. Her website is Beverly4Congress.com. Update: News! Bev has been chosen by the Trump campaign to give the opening prayer at the Trump event at the University of Akron tomorrow evening. We were notified this evening, and wrote the prayer tonight.
