WICHITA FALLS, TX - Texas Federal Judge Reed O'Connor again affirmed that his order bars the Obama administration from enforcing its unlawful LGBT agenda on public schools, federal agencies, municipalities and private employers. The ruling applies nationwide and specifically states that federal agencies must stop enforcing illegal guidelines which interpret the word "sex" as "gender" in federal statues such as Title VII and Title IX.
The Obama administration attempted to impose an LGBT agenda on schools, government agencies and private employers. The unlawful directives would have allowed males to use restrooms, dressing rooms, showers and locker rooms assigned for females. In the public school context, these directives would also allow boys to demand they sleep with girls during overnight off-campus trips. In May, the Obama administration sent a letter to every public school district telling them to allow so-called "transgender" students to use the bathrooms that match their subjective "gender identity." The directive stated that schools that did not abide could face lawsuits or the loss of federal aid. In addition, the Government Services Administration (GSA) issued a regulation declaring that transgender employees and visitors must be allowed to use the bathrooms that match their so-called "gender identity." The policy by the GSA, which manages more than 9,000 federal building and offices in more than 2,000 cities nationwide, applied to federal courthouses and offices such as the Social Security Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Obama administration also sought, unilaterally and without any authority, to impose "gender identity" into Title VII, thus applying to employers. "We applaud the court's order that bars the Obama administration from imposing its unlawful LGBT agenda on schools, government agencies and private employers," said Mat Staver, Liberty Counsel's Founder and Chairman. "These ridiculous LGBT policies are harmful and defy common sense. The Obama directive is a lawless act," said Staver.
