Comey's new investigation due to devices seized from Carlos Danger and Huma Abedin

We still don't know what, precisely, triggered FBI Director James Comey's decision to re-open his Clinton server investigation, but we do know that, whatever it is, it came from newly obtained emails. We also know that those emails came from a very familiar source. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Weinergate 2.0. ...Or is it 4.0? ...Or 5.0? Honestly it's hard to tell at this point. Whatever iteration of the Weiner saga we're on, there's one thing we know. The new emails came from devices seized from Carlos Danger and his wife, Huma Abedin. As the New York Times reports:
Federal law enforcement officials said Friday that the new emails uncovered in the closed investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server were discovered after the F.B.I. seized electronic devices belonging to Huma Abedin, an aide to Mrs. Clinton, and her husband, Anthony Weiner. The F.B.I. told Congress that it had uncovered new emails related to the closed investigation into whether Mrs. Clinton or her aides had mishandled classified information, potentially reigniting an issue that has weighed on the presidential campaign and offering a lifeline to Donald J. Trump less than two weeks before the election. In a letter to Congress, the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, said that emails had surfaced in an unrelated case, and that they “appear to be pertinent to the investigation.”

Oh, to be a fly on the wall the next time Hillary and Huma are in the same room together. Just think, Carlos Danger could deliver the blow that might just drag Trump across the finish line.
  1. If I was the FBI, I'd be offering Weiner immunity in his sexting investigation right about now.
  2. If I was Anthony Weiner, I'd be hiring a small army of body guards and a food-taster this afternoon.
  3. If I was Trump, I'd make sure everyone got a second look at this Tweet I posted back in August....
