Concerned that people in the LGBTQAAI community (yes that’s a real initialism now) might be offended by traditional pronouns like she, he, him and hers, progressives are instructing people (namely your kids at school) to never assume someone’s pronoun. It’s always more polite to ask.
This thinking may be pathetic and laughable, but it is not to be taken lightly because the madness of a few has sometimes dictated the course of nations. The highest regarded of our academic institutions are run by those who adhere to this transgender ideology, using school “rules” to bully anyone who dares disagree.
Renowned Oxford University in England has joined other bastions of PC in the U.S. that, in an effort to appease overly sensitive leftists, are demanding that “antiquated” gender-based pronouns like “he” and “she” be shown the door.
Student union officers at Oxford are asking students to use the gender-neutral alternative “ze” – as opposed to he or she – to avoid alienating transgender students.
“The Equality and Diversity Unit suggests that departments and colleges remove all gender-specific titles from websites and print information, retaining only academic titles such as Dr, Prof.,” the Transgender Guidance Report states. “In the meantime individuals should be given the option of appearing without a title.”
It also notes: “In non-binary communities, Mx and Msc are gaining popularity, and some non-binary people prefer constructed pronouns such as ‘zie’ or ‘ey’.”
British elementary schools are also being pressured to use gender-neutral pronouns.
Lefties aren’t just pushing gender-neutral pronouns in the classroom. In New York City, you could be fined an incredible $250,000 for calling a transsexual person “he” or “she” when the person prefers to be called “zhe.” The New York City Commission on Human Rights updated an anti-discrimination law in 2015, threatening staggering financial penalties against property owners who “misgender” employees or tenants.
These people are at war with reality.
