For the first time in years, a U.S. President manages to address the UN ...without trashing the United States

I won't bother listing examples, because there are so many that it would take all day. Suffice it to say that, if you spent any part of the last 8 years watching President Obama address the United Nations, you saw a U.S. President belittle his own county. Obama's speeches were, almost without exception, apologetic affairs designed to acknowledge the left-wing "truth" that America is the source of all the world's ills. If you were among those who were utterly disgusted with it, take heart. Those days are over. President Donald Trump's address this morning stands in diametric opposition to all of it.
Where Obama sought to coddle the planet's worst dictators, Trump looked them square in the eye and told them how awful they and their countries are. Where Obama sought to downplay U.S. influence in the world, Trump pointed out that our nation is the greatest force for good the planet has ever seen. Where Obama sought to apologize for our wealth, Trump praised the stabilizing influence of money. Where Obama sought to anchor us to globalism, Trump called for strength and sovereignty. Where Obama sought to make America more like Europe, Trump promoted America as the ideal to which every nation on Earth should aspire. In short, after eight years of mealy-mouthed navel-gazing, it was damn refreshing. You can watch it below.
