Hyundai Auto Canada posted record breaking numbers as April sales were up 15.6% from last year, shattering its May 2009 record of 11,200 units. On a year-to-date basis, sales continue to track above 2009's record pace as Hyundai finished 22.3% ahead of last year. These numbers were driven by Hyundai's exceptional product line up including the all new Tucson, the all new Sonata and the Elantra.
The Santa Fe, followed by the Elantra sedan each celebrated their best month ever.
"Our sales success was driven by our strong product line up and our SMART advantage program featuring low prices with 0% financing," noted Steve Kelleher, president and CEO, Hyundai Canada Corp. "Our product investment has paid off with the all new Sonata up 20 % in sales and the Tucson up 68.5%."
