Omarosa Manigault-Newman seems like quite the gold-digger, and one thing gold-diggers do is make spectacular claims sure to get them attention.
Understand this upfront: Glenn Kessler is not authoritative and he does not really deal in “facts.” He is a liberal opinion writer who disguises himself as a “fact-checker.” If you want to know Kessler’s allegiances, ask Julie Boonstra.
The most notable thing here is obviously the details themselves. They’re absolutely devastating to the Obama DOJ and Trump/Russia collusion narrative.
The upshot is that, after Trump won the election, Hillary’s bought-and-paid-for smear merchants approached the Obama Justice Department and urged them to turn the political smear campaign that had failed into an official FBI investigation.
This is as predictable as the sun rising in the east, whenever there is a Republican in the White House. If the economy is strong – as it is right now – the media will instantly shift from complaining about how bad things are to doomsaying about what surely lies ahead in the very near future.

Here’s how I think you can best explain this:
Between 10 and 15 percent of Republican voters would say yes to any question that starts with “Do you think President Trump should have the power to (fill in the blank)?” The same people would say no to the exact same question if you substitute “Obama” for “Trump.”
In any other era, Ted Wheeler would be a household name – and not in a good way – for what he did late last week. The Portland mayor, a Democrat (of course), order local police to stand by and do nothing as the local Immigration and Customs Enforcement office was getting besieged by a mob. This even as ICE officials were calling Portland police asking for help.

Donald Trump continues to be the worst Vladimir Putin lapdog ever, and actual U.S. policy toward Russia continues to be wildly at odds with the narrative the media sells you about Trump and Putin as BFFs.
You’re going to say that’s taking it too far, but in what respect is California still part of the United States if it a) ignores federal law; and b) presumes to enact its own regulations with the intention of making them apply to the entire country?
This is really not a jobs report for anyone to get excited about, regardless of which side you come down on in the never-ending battle to gain partisan advantage from everything.
Adding 157,000 jobs in a month just about keeps you even with population growth, which means that if you added that number every month forever, not much would really change in terms of the employment picture. And with the U-3 unemployment rate at a crazy low 3.9 percent, it hardly seems like a major crisis that we didn’t add jobs at a breakneck pace in July.
This is one of the media’s most obnoxious games, so it’s only natural that their most obnoxious member would be the one playing it here.
I don’t need to tell you that CNN’s Jim Acosta is a self-important, grandstanding jerk. That’s like telling you water is wet.
Well. This train long ago left the station, but the Mueller investigation never should have happened in the first place. Jeff Sessions never should have recused himself over a perfectly innocuous meeting with a Russian official that took place while he was a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Rod Rosenstein never should have appointed Mueller on the grounds that the firing of James Comey necessitated it.
