Obama: It's 'bad apple' insurers, not ObamaCare, taking away the plans you liked

Be honest: When his lie is so blatant and so clearly exposed, with no conceivable way of covering it up, with the videos of his false promise spliced together and playing over and over on YouTube, with even his MSM cheerleaders reporting what a liar he turned out to be . . . did you allow yourself to think, just for a moment, that maybe, just maybe, he might for once in his life man up and admit what he did?

Top spy on foreign leader phone taps: Oh come on, of course Obama knew

You sort of knew, instinctively, that it was a load of crap when the White House tried to claim Obama had no idea his own spies were tapping Angela Merkel's phones. It's like when they claimed he knew nothing about the ObamaCare web site glitches, or the IRS abuse . . . come on. It's standard political covering up for the boss. Not exactly the model of courageous leadership, but what we've come to expect.

Dang: Now the ObamaCare data center has crashed too

On the one hand, you can say this one’s not the administration’s fault because Verizon operates the data center. The connectivity issue that caused the system to shut down occurred early on Sunday, and as of now no one knows when it will be back online. In the meantime, no one can shop or make any purchases.

He didn’t know? With one (probably false) claim, Sebelius proves Obama’s incompetence

Something Herman said on the radio show today got me thinking about a conversation he and I had back in 2009 - before he was thinking about running for president, at least as far as I knew at the time. It spoke to President Obama's complete ineptness in the area of executive management, and returned to light today because of the latest nonsense coming from Kathleen Sebelius concerning ObamaCare.

Hey, sorry, the IRS blew away $11 billion on improper EITC payments

ObamaCare is not just a web site, they tell us. Those technical glitches will be fixed, and once they are, ObamaCare itself will be wonderful because its design is wonderful and the implementation will be fantastic. That is the promise.

Fatal drunk driver confesses in viral video; faces long prison sentence

Matthew Cordle certainly appears sincere and remorseful as he tells the world he killed Vincent Canzani in this video that has gone viral in recent days. And true to his word, Cordle surrendered to authorities, showed up in court and pled guilty. My prayer for him is that he presents his confession to God and that he receives full forgiveness for what he did.

Just a reminder: Health insurers make out like bandits under ObamaCare

Believe it or not, there is something the left doesn't like about ObamaCare, and I'm not just talking about the disastrous web site. The left hates the fact that ObamaCare relies on private insurers, since we all know that they would prefer is for the government to run the hospitals, employ the doctors, pay the bills, etc.

VIDEO: McConnell: From now on we will automatically surrender to the Democrats

Hey, he didn't say that, you tell me. Well, those were not his words, but that's exactly what he said. Mitch McConnell, thoroughly chastened over having reluctantly gone along with Ted Cruz and House Republicans on the recent shutdown, gives his confession and repentance to the Beltway media as personified by Bob Schieffer on CBS, and makes a promise that Republicans will not bring about any more shutdowns.

Yay! Government’s back! Air marshal charged with taking photos up women’s skirts

I just want you to feel better. It was so traumatic for you when the government was shut down and you were denied all the wondrous services, benefits, protection and support from the many dedicated servants who wake up each day thinking, "How can I take the tax dollars of the American citizenry and use it to enrich their lives? Oh, the privilege of serving the American people!"

How Reid and Obama disarmed Boehner, and how to solve the problem

It's impossible to win a fight when you're convinced even before it starts that you have no chance. John Boehner wanted this shutdown battle as much as he's ever wanted any other budget battle with President Obama and the Democrats, which is to say not at all, because Boehner believes from the outset that picking such a fight can result in nothing but disaster for Republicans. And he has made that a self-fulfilling prophecy.
