The ignominious Jerry Brown state Supreme Court appointee, Rose Bird, habitually overturned death penalty cases because she personally didn’t approve of the death penalty. The people of the Golden State eventually threw her out of office.

Reluctant Rock Star:  Chris Christie

If anyone has a legitimate right to gripe about the economy he inherited, it’s reluctant rock star, Chris Christie. His spendaholic liberal, Goldman Sachs alum predecessor left the state 46th in the national economic freedom index. Former governor, Jon Corzine resorted to the standard liberal failed experiment of raising taxes on the “wealthy” to cover his staggering budget shortfall. Christie took office with creditors, literally, beating down the doors. The first time I saw Chris Christie, I liked what he had to say and got all tingly at the thought of being rid of Corzine in New Jersey, but tried to keep things in perspective. Corzine was an incumbent, a liberal in a deep blue state and had virtually unlimited funding.

Ground Zero?  Nothing Historic There

The useful idiots of the Landmarks Preservation Commission voted 9-0, a unanimity SCOTUS can't muster, to deny Ground Zero historic status. Some may recall, Ground Zero is the site at which 3000 innocents were slaughtered in the name of Islamic Jihad. Bits and pieces of the victims remain buried, never to be recovered.

McCarthyism, guilt by association and all that. (For the record, McCarthy was right).

Crony Crackerism

Just like the New Black Panthers, Barack Obama’s pastor of twenty years embraces black liberation ideology. It’s a virulently radical political ideology that enjoys tax-exempt status. Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC ) ideology is rooted in the writings of Dr. James Cone, author of Black Theology and Black Power, calling for the liberation of black people by any means necessary. Cone taught that Christianity as practiced in the United States is the Antichrist and that white theology is not theology at all. Inspired by this nurturing view of Christianity, Obama is so taken with Wright that he memorialized part of one of Wright’s revealing sermons:
