The ignorance and hypocrisy behind oil export bans

US oil and gas production was already declining, when the 1973 Arab oil embargo sent oil and gasoline prices skyrocketing and created block-long lines at gas stations. Increased domestic production could have eased the supply and price crunch, but the 1969 Santa Barbara oil spill had resulted in congressional leasing and drilling moratoriums on federal offshore and onshore lands.

Election Day

It was the Holiday. The only holiday that still allowed the millions of men and women in the Great Circle of the Community from the farthest Alaskan towns across to the great sweep of the Upper Americas and the Atlantic Ocean to cities with familiar names like London and Paris and less familiar names like Armonia and Simetria through the empty industrial wastelands of Russia, to take a day off from work.

Did The Environment Agency Deliberately Increase Flooding?

In a 250-page document on flood risk the Environment Agency set out how it plans to deliberately increase flooding in the areas now worst affected, and appears to prioritise animals above people. The 2008 agency document shows the objective for the Levels was to ‘take action to increase the frequency of flooding to deliver benefits locally or elsewhere’. The policy was revealed as agency director of operations David Jordan angered residents yesterday by calling the flood defences a ‘success story’. --David Rose, Mail on Sunday, 9 February 2014

Does America Still Want To Prosper?

“Completing this form is a critical start to completing your education,” noted First Lady Michelle Obama. It was Wednesday February 5, and she had traveled from the confines of the White House to a nearby Virginia high school to lecture students on applying for “free” federal financial aid for college.

U.S. is Going Bankrupt One City at a Time

Time to start watching U.S. cities go bankrupt. Prior to Detroit, there was Stockton, California, and, according to Stephen Moore, now the chief economist with the Heritage Foundation, there are more than sixty of the largest cities that “are plagued with the same kinds of retirement legacy costs that sent Detroit in Chapter 9 bankruptcy” last year.

Monckton: Challenge to Prince Charles

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, Clarence House, London. Candlemas, 2014 Your Royal Highness’ recent remarks describing those who have scientific and economic reason to question the Establishment opinion on climatic apocalypse in uncomplimentary and unroyal terms as “headless chickens” mark the end of our constitutional monarchy and a return to the direct involvement of the Royal Family, in the Person of our future king, no less, in the cut and thrust of partisan politics.

Sex? The Day after Heart Attack?

Being shot by a jealous lover at 95 years of age is my idea of the best way to leave this planet. But suppose you’re younger and have survived a coronary attack or bypass surgery? Is a little romp in the bed safe? Or is it time to switch to backgammon?

Are Paper and Pencils Passé?

When I talk to young people these days I often ask "do you still know what a pencil is?"

Black on Black History Month and Race

Ah, another Black History Month, or should I say Annual Bash America Month. Every year the usual suspects (Democrats and liberal media) use the month to promote hate via false narratives such as young black men are routinely hunted by whites; Conservatives and Republicans hate a commercial that features a biracial couple, and so on. You know the drill. America sucks, is eternally racist and victimizes blacks.

Obama’s Praetorian Guards!

Our puppet dictator is not destroying our republic all by his lonesome. He is executing the game plan designed by his puppeteers, and promoted and protected by the puppeteer-controlled media, but isn’t there more to this saga, than meets the eye? Are you familiar with the term, ‘Praetorian Guard’?

Arlington National Cemetery is 150 Years Old

There was a quiet and peaceful stillness about the cemetery this January day. It was snowing heavily and the pristine white was accumulating between thousands of rows of headstones marking the graves of our true heroes who gave their lives in battle or died in old age, having served our country for decades, fighting enemies to preserve our freedom.

Failure over the pond

It is a really warped version of events that has the administration spinning the news that the equivalent of 2.3 million workers will go from full to part time as an opportunity.

Phone calls may be taken down and used in evidence against you

The kettle is boiling over the insults of the EU by State Department senior official Victoria Nuland following her use of an expletive to describe the EU when talking to the American Ambassador to the Ukraine. In addition to the kettle the German chancellor Angela Merkle is spewing steam with the revelation that the United States State Department has such low regard for the European collection of sovereign states.
