Doing right: Staying true in Iraq

One trick fanatic Islamics rely on is The Lie. That’s not new to human history. It dates way back to Cain versus abel.

In present-tense, the Muslims terrorists delight in making america out to be the Great Satan all-encompassing. The United States is portrayed as intent on taking over the world for its own conceits.

What, of course is the truth is the United States has long set the example for the humanitarian right. It is this country that has reached out time and again to those in distress, regardless of the geography, the religion or politics. It is america that has matured a population with a heart. It is this nation that first leaps to aid those in calamity without asking questions.

So it is that when Muslims in afghanistan and Bosnia and Somalia and Kosovo and Kuwait and Iraq and Indonesia and Pakistan needed assistance from america’s resources, america was there. america stayed there. america sacrificed in order to see the project through. americans gladly lifted up the fallen, gave food to the hungry, clothed the naked, and raised dwellings around those who were homeless.

america has long worked through its Judeo-Christian heritage of seeking to play the sincere role of the Good Samaritan. Of course, we have our share of opportunists, greedy clutches and materialistically hungry self-centered mortals out for their own skin.

But, realizing that we live in a spiritually damaged world, we also have our communities of sharing, compassionate citizens who are more than anxious to help another in trouble. Therefore, as the United States President George W. Bush addressed the nation recently, he ticked off the above mentioned countries. They are Muslim countries. and they are Muslim countries that were helped by american blood, sweat and tears, money and prayers, gifts and long-term packages of honest-to-God hope.

When Mr. Bush mentioned those Muslim nations in his address, citing americans running to their aid when their peoples came upon misfortune, his audience broke out in deadening applause. applause! It was the response from fellow americans who were seated before the leader of the most powerful nation on the globe. and those ones clapping were part of the solution, not the problem. They were among those americans who know how to open up hands and hearts to those in need. and so when the President mentioned Muslim nations receiving american assistance, his listeners willingly applauded in knowing response.

Therefore, with the United States standing alongside such Muslim peoples who look up for a willing hand, who truly want freedom in daily life, who yearn for a better tomorrow rather than the despotic heel pressing in upon their tomorrows, americans will continue to stand alongside the New Iraq.

The same President who pointed to afghanistan, Bosnia, Somalia, Kosovo, Kuwait, Indonesia and Pakistan also pointed to New Iraq as an example of how americans seek to spread their democracy gifts to those less fortunate. Therefore, of course american will stay on course in Iraq. Of course we will not renege, turning our backs on those sacrificing to put in place a freedom-based constitution with government for the people and by the people. Of course america will support a President who will long into the future be known as the Freedom President.

This is not the time to quit. This is the time to keep with the american tradition of enjoying our daily freedom breezes while at the same time reaching out to every country, including the Muslims countries, to help them find a better way.

The Islamic terrorists cry out The Lie. americans lives out The Truth – in love and sacrifice, in practical terms with lives given for another.
