Even before Bernie Sanders entered the race, I was 100% confident that he would never be the Democrat's nominee. First of all, he's an avowed socialist. That may play to the left's radical base but, once he had to defend the math behind his plans, he'd be outed as the unelectable extremist he's always been. Secondly, and maybe even more importantly, the Democrat party would never tolerate him as their candidate. He's not one of them, and it's Hillary's turn. End of story.
I also argued that, once he managed to realize he wouldn't win, he and his oh-so-pious followers would abandon their lofty principles and join team Hillary. Now, according to the AP, that day has apparently arrived.The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.
