Lori Lightfoot, the Mayor that reigns over today’s version of the OK Corral, took time out from emboldening criminals to try and recruit students for her campaign.
Since Lightfoot is the Mayor/Warden of Chicago, she oversees schools in the city. That power enables her to appoint the superintendent and board of education members.
Apparently, this inferred power over the schools motivated Lightfoot to hatch an underhanded plan that would utilize students to aid her campaign.
