Congress seeks to exempt itself from the ‘Federal Employee Tax Accountability Act’


Today, the "Tax Accountability Act of 2013" (H.R. 249) is expected to come to the floor of the house for a vote. If it passes, the new law would mandate the firing of any federal employee who is carrying a "seriously delinquent" tax debt. It would also prevent the hiring of individuals in the same situation.
