Countdown Clock Overkill

Hours before the presidential news conference about health care, I flipped on MSNBC and saw their prominent countdown clock marking the hours, minutes, and seconds until the the appointed time. Then I switched to CNN. Same thing but with the added touch of a SECOND countdown, "Countdown to Black In America 2." Here is my impression of all this countdown frenzy:
