If you listen to Democrats this morning, you'll quickly realize that they think there's a silver lining to last night's epic loss in the GA06 special election. The thinking is that things got "close" in a reliably red district, so Dems should look on the bright side. "This," they claim, "is what progress looks like." The scoreboard may not show a victory, but they still think they won a "moral victory."
That's fine. I'm all for Democrats who lose elections and win moral victories. They're my favorite kind of politician, and we're seeing a lot of them lately. As Frank Luntz points out:
