No matter what happens from here on in, O.J. Simpson will neither be re-tried nor convicted of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. And while I wouldn’t say that’s a good thing per se, it’s the result of a constitutional guarantee against double jeopardy that it’s very good we all have.
