What would you make of landowners falling prey to mysterious crop failings, unexplained livestock die-offs, arson, and murder while hundreds of thousands of acres of ranches, farms and pristine wilderness seem to vanish off the tax rolls and wind up in the hands of a shadowy entity? Two people find themselves in the center of an environmental vortex, sorting through all the strange coincidences and wondering how the pieces fit to complete the puzzle. Former newspaper publisher, Anthea Keller, and a retired cop turned college instructor, Gary Mathers, meet in the Idaho backwoods only to land in the midst of the land scam.
