Did it surprise you when the news came out on Friday that 1,580 IRS employees have willfully neglected to pay their taxes over the past 10 years? Keep in mind that the “willfully” crowd is just a drop in the bucket at the IRS, where more than 18,000 employees were delinquent on their taxes at one time or another, but only the 1,580 in question were tabbed as having intentionally failed to pay.The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.
