Notice US Today’s careful wording that President Trump “would all but call” Gillibrand a #, meaning that the president never did call Gillibrand a #— but “would all but” call her that indecent and accursed name by putting words in his mouth. The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.
