I might be wrong, but if I was asked to choose which scenario I appreciated more, someone doing the right thing for the wrong reason, or someone doing the wrong thing for the right reason, I would choose the latter.
When word got out that the Multiple Sclerosis Society had fired a 90-year-old volunteer, that had worked with the organization for 60 years because she didn’t understand pronouns, the proverbial sh*t hit the fan. There was so much negative feedback and threats to cut off donations, that the apology that the organization finally offered yesterday doesn’t feel heartfelt.
The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.

This was certainly neither sincere nor appropriate. The only thing they're apologizing for is their failure to turn that poor volunteer "woke".
