For months we've heard that, while the administration was - illegally - shifting various ObamaCare deadlines, there was one date that remained sacrosanct. March 31st at midnight was to be the absolute, inflexible, last moment for open ACA enrollment. No one should bother asking for any sort of an extension, because, with utter finality, that cut-off was set in stone.
