The US Senate today voted to advance a bill that would defund the Planned Parenthood abortion business. The Senate voted in favor of a motion to proceed to begin debate on the legislation.
There had been considerable question about whether a motion to proceed would be successful because the legislation which defunds the nation’s biggest abortion company and repeals ObamaCare has come under opposition from three pro-abortion Republicans.
