NYPD officer Randolph Holder, 33, was shot to death in Harlem Tuesday night. The five-year veteran of the department had been on patrol of public housing in East Harlem at the time he was killed.
Around 8:30 p.m., police responded to a report of shots fired. Police spotted several men, one of whom stole a bicycle at gunpoint and began to flee. Holder and another officer caught up to the man and shots were exchanged. Holder was shot once in the forehead and was killed. The suspect, Tyrone (Peanut) Howard, 30, was arrested a few blocks away.
