I guess no one is really that concerned about getting respect from Martin Sheen and Mike Farrell. The left's delusional best efforts notwithstanding, the Electoral College today did exactly what they're supposed to do: They honored the decisions of the voters in their respective states and elected Donald Trump and Mike Pence as our new president and vice president.
The vote is ongoing as we post this, with the running tally so far at 219 for Trump and 120 for Hillary. But we're going to go ahead and call it because the only elector to go "faithless" in any state rejected Hillary for Bernie Sanders. That was in Maine. Supposedly Christopher Suprun of Texas will do the same and reject Trump, but it's clear from the trend that just about no one else will. The left's six-week campaign to persuade Republican electors not to back Trump accomplished about as much as the $100 million Hillary campaign - not a damn thing:
