Judgment Day may be approaching for serial pervert former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.).
Federal prosecutors are now considering whether to set child-pornography charges in motion against Weiner over sexually explicit communications he allegedly had with a 15-year-old female, the Wall Street Journal reports. The investigation, which got underway months ago after the Daily Mail reported Weiner sent raunchy photos and message to the teenager, is being handled by the FBI and the U.S. attorney's office in Manhattan. The former leftist congressman's laptop computer and cellphone have been seized.
Weiner's legal eagles have been trying to talk prosecutors out of moving forward with a criminal case. A conviction for making child pornography leads to a 15-year mandatory minimum prison term.
