Planned Parenthood's Moral and Economic Corruption: " . . . turned barbarism into commerce."

VIDEO: Mike Lee lays the smack to Planned Parenthood and its desperate protectors

Hat tip here to Guy Benson at Hot Air, who noticed this from a Monday post, and recognized as I do here that it's just too good not to share even if it is a few days old. The debate over Joni Ernst's measure to de-fund Planned Parenthood really came down to a choice each senator had to make between the reality of what's happening in those human slaughterhouses, and the political imperative Democrats feel to turn a blind eye to any and all evil because Planned Parenthood long ago became a sacrosanct icon of the left.

Mike Lee lays it out. The only way you can defend Planned Parenthood is to change the subject, repeat vague words and urge people to think about anything besides what's really going on (See below): If you listen to Planned Parenthood's protectors, you will notice that no one really deals with the matter of selling fetal body parts. The talking points are always about peripheral matters such as a) the undercover nature of the videos; b) the idea - wholly unsupported by facts - that the videos are doctored or "selectively edited"; c) the claim that Planned Parenthood is merely covering its costs and not making a profit, also clearly contradicted by the words of its own people in the videos; d) claims that Planned Parenthood provides the only access to "women's health" services, which is also clearly not true. No Democrat or media talking head is willing to deal with issues like the harvesting of body parts, or the altering of abortion procedures to ensure "intact cadavers" and so forth. They don't deal with these matters - and these are the heart of the matter - because they can't. There is no defending any of it and they know that. Planned Parenthood's only hope is that the media will ignore the story, which it is shamelessly demanding they do - or that the media and aligned politicians will change the narrative to make Planned Parenthood the victim. It they actually put the focus on what Planned Parenthood is really doing, it's over. Don't overlook a larger and very important point Lee makes, which is that no organization has a right to presume it will receive federal funds. Of course, if that's the case, Lee and his colleagues in the Republican majority need to make that clear in next year's budget. As we discussed on Tuesday, Planned Parenthood can't receive a dime from the federal government unless a Congress controlled by Republicans votes for the money. If a Republican majority can't say no to that and prevail, what good of any kind are they?
