Ah yes, Hillary. I've often told you that Hillary Clinton is neither smart nor accomplished, and that people constantly overestimate her capabilities as they recommend her for the positions she has held. But it's fair to ask, if she is really so inept, how does she keep landing in some of the most powerful posts in this country?
The answer: Because the one thing she is good at is shameless power politics. Both Clintons have a knack for developing leverage with people from whom they need support, then pressuring said people to do whatever is necessary to help the Clintons accomplish their political goals. In no way does this relate to any capacity to govern effectively or, obviously, honestly. But just as it explains how they manage to enrich themselves with millions in speaking fees and foundation donations, it also explains how they win elections and secure high-level appointments. Not only are they relentless in seeking these things, but they will make sure anyone who tries to stop them has their lives made miserable.
And that brings us to the WikiLeaks release late last week of thousands of e-mails from the DNC server, which reveal the least shocking news of this or any day: Hillary cheated, with the DNC's help, in her pursuit of the Democrat nomination. While pretending to be neutral in such things, the DNC was under orders to clear the road for Hillary, and when Bernie Sanders went off script and stood in the way, they plotted to take him down.
Several of the emails released indicate that the officials, including Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, grew increasingly agitated with Clinton's rival, Bernie Sanders, and his campaign as the primary season advanced, in one instance even floating bringing up Sanders' religion to try and minimize his support.
“It might may [sic] no difference, but for KY and WA can we get someone to ask his belief,” Brad Marshall, CFO of DNC, wrote in an email on May 5, 2016. “Does he believe in God. He had skated on saying he has a Jewish heritage. I read he is an atheist. This could make several points difference with my peeps. My southern baptist peeps would draw a big difference between a Jew and an atheist.”
Amy Dacey, CEO of the DNC, subsequently responded “AMEN,” according to the emails.
During the primary battle, Sanders and his supporters accused both the party and Wasserman Schultz of putting their thumb on the scale for Clinton and these emails may indicate support for those allegations.
Sanders called for Wasserman Schultz to step down, and in an April 24 email she received with an article detailing Sanders talking about the DNC being unfair to his campaign, the chairwoman responded, “Spoken like someone who has never been a member of the Democratic Party and has no understanding of what we do.”
After the Nevada Democratic Convention, where things got out-of-hand over a delegate fight, Wasserman Schultz called Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver a “damn liar.” In another instance, she referred to him as an “a--," according to the emails.
The bit about challenging Sanders's religious beliefs is especially galling. My guess would be the vast majority of the people at the DNC are functional atheists themselves, and they certainly support policies friendly to the priorities of atheists. But if it's useful to save Hillary Clinton from yet another humiliating loss in a nominating contest, why not pretend to care about God? Whatever works to serve the interests of the queen.

The Clintons must have major leverage over the people who run the DNC because, strategically, it makes no sense that the DNC would want to clear the road for Hillary. She is a terrible candidate who already lost one race she was supposed to win easily. And even the race against this doddering socialist turned into a difficult one for her to pull off. Why wouldn't the Democrats have wanted to open up the field for more appealing candidates? Not that I can think of any who would appeal to me, but surely there were some governors or members of Congress who might have been interested in seeking the presidency and would have offered more appeal than this shrieking shrew.
Yet somehow the DNC managed to get everyone, save this one senator who is not even really a member of their party, to play ball. And when he got uppity, they worked behind the scenes to ensure his defeat.
No wonder Hillary doesn't want anyone reading her e-mails. That's where you usually find the evidence of how people really operate.
So here's your Democrat nominee, America: A woman who broke the law and put classified information at risk for her own political benefit. A woman who cheated in the primary race. And a woman who has told so many lies for so many years, it would be a major project for us to recount them all to you. And we will take that project on shortly. But for now, let's suffice it to say that she is the most corrupt, dishonest, horrible human being to seek the presidency in my memory. And yes, I remember Richard Nixon.
So let me see if I have this straight: DWS has to resign for helping Hillary cheat. If the helper of the cheater has to go, what about the cheater?
