Graft. Corruption. In other words, Clinton stuff.

Newly released e-mails prove: Hillary turned the State Department into a pay-for-play racket

While the media are hyperventilating about "Second Amendment people" - pretending to believe Donald Trump meant something they know he didn't mean, so you will be upset - newly released e-mails prove beyond any doubt that Hillary used her position as Secretary of State as an influence-for-money operation, with Mrs. Carlos Danger as her primary cash pimpette. The New York Post is most on top of it this morning:
Hillary Clinton put the State Department up for sale, with top aides pulling strings and doing favors for fat-cat donors to the Clinton Foundation — including a shady billionaire, according to smoking-gun emails released Tuesday. The stunning revelations include how wealthy contributors seeking influence or prestigious government gigs could fork over piles of cash to get access to Clinton’s inner circle, including top aides Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills. In an April 2009 message to Abedin and Mills, Doug Band, who was overseeing the Clinton Foundation at the time, urgently asked for a meeting between a top US official and Gilbert Chagoury — a major donor to the Clinton family charity. “We need to speak to the substance person re Lebanon. As you know, he’s [Chagoury] key guy there and to us and is loved in lebanon,” wrote Band, in a clear attempt to suck up to a big donor to the foundation. “Its jeff feltman,” Abedin wrote back, referring to America’s former ambassador to Lebanon who went on to become assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs in August 2009.

“I’m sure he knows him. Ill talk to jeff,” said Abedin. Less than 20 minutes later, Band replied, “Better if you call him. Now preferable. This is very important. He’s awake I’m sure.” Chagoury is a Lebanese-Nigerian billionaire who gave the Clinton Foundation between $1 million and $5 million. In 2009, he also pledged $1 billion to the Clinton Global Initiative. There's a lot more but fair use really doesn't permit me to excerpt as much of it as I'd like to. Be sure to click over to the NYP and read the whole thing. I guess this is the sort of thing that Hillary and her media servants treat as "old news." There have been suggestions for some time that Hillary was conducting the State Department in this manner, with bits and pieces of evidence to back it up but something short of solid proof. So this is how Hillary plays the game: When there isn't absolute rock-solid proof, she denies it all. When the proof finally shows up, she says it's old news. And the media largely take her cue, the New York Post being a rare and laudable exception. This should be the biggest story in the news cycle at this moment, but instead it's being largely ignored while the media pretends to think Trump called for Hillary's assassination - a narrative so absurd and dishonest, it's astonishing how dumb they have to think you are to keep running with it.

But that is how this entire campaign is going to go: There is a wealth of evidence that Hillary would govern this nation in a completely incompetent and corrupt manner. This evidence will be either downplayed or completely ignored, while every word out of Donald Trump's mouth will be turned into a scandal regardless of what he actually meant, and when his words are intentionally misrepresented, it will be presented as his fault because "he should know this is how the game is played." The way the game is played sucks. Someone should blow up the game. We're going to elect the most corrupt person to darken American politics in at least a century, all because "the game" cares nothing for her malevolence, but chooses instead to play a never-ending game of gotcha with a candidate who is rhetorically careless and uncouth, but in no way the wild-eyed maniac they want you to think he is.
