It seems every day brings this administration's ethics to a new LOW, and their self-appointed power to a new high. We can no longer get a picture of real events because of the Obama press corps, and the totally slanted media. Were it not for representatives like you and talk radio, we would never get a glimpse of the truth. I am 67 years old, an Army veteran from the 60's. I did well for years in the furniture sales business, until everything went to China. After losing most of what we had with some "slicker than me" business associates in that business, I retired at 62 and opened a landscaping design and installation company. I am very good at my profession, but a drought, many medical problems in the family and a second family business failing has put an enormous drain on my very small business and my wife and I are both on Social Security. I have not squandered any money, taken lavish vacations or robbed any stockholders. Does that, in itself, dis-qualify me for a stimulus and a bailout? Even though I owe some Soc. Sec. payments on my own account, my taxes are filed currently and up to date. If I switch parties, can I stop paying taxes and become eligible for a bailout or a cabinet position? Doctor Roe, I need serious financial help, small in comparrison to big business, but there is no place for small businesses to turn without excessive assets, great credit and a guaranteed ability to repay the loan quickly and an above average rate. When I think of the multitude of run-a-way CEOs that took our tax money for their "contractually" guaranteed retirement and bonus plans, I get livid! One exec took 20 Million dollars from the bailout and or stimulus, as a reward for ruining his stockholders' future. That 20 Million dollars could have been sent to 400 small businesses in 50 Thousand dollar increments, thus saving jobs, homes and even marriages. The "Bailout" seems to me to be a payoff, and an enormous financial error on Obama's thinking. Chrysler and GM should have been auctioned off, not stolen by Obama. Ford could have taken them both over; that would be better than having the government as their new "managing partner". I am fearful for my country's existence as a free nation. We seem to have a monarch in the White House with a cabinet made up of court jesters. Frankly, Congressman, I want my country back, safe, free of tyrannanical government and "everybody" that can, paying their fair share. CLOSING the borders would have been a good start. Excuse the length of this note, but it is hard to say what is on my troubled mind in a few short sentences. I look forward to talking with you in person again. May GOD Bless you, your family and our troubled Nation, Taylor Ward, Morristown, Tn. (Taylor the Landscaper)
