Ed Shultz, the vitriolic host at MSNBC tells us that the ‘One Nation Working Together’ rally in Washington D.C. equaled the magnitude and attendance as the ‘Restoring Honor rally held by Glenn Beck on August 28th 2010. Clearly it didn't, but what, then, did it actually accomplish?

Substantive proof that the One Nation rally was not only eclipsed by Beck’s rally by those in attendance, it was filled with uplifting speakers who called for restoring Honor and thus returning to time worn values intended by our Founding Fathers. Shultz’s commentary at the base of the Lincoln Memorial was filled with hate and nonsense that is not going to be tolerated by the millions of Americans that will be taking the country back at the polls. Union members were bused into this charade in an effort to boost attendance. Will those who attended ever come to terms with the fact that it was their ignorance along that with the inept leadership of Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid and the rest of the "regressives" in congress might have sent our great nation into the abyss had they been given enough time? Fortunately, thinking voters will take back their country without firing a shot on November 2nd. There are million and millions of Americans who now understand their country has made a turn in the wrong direction. This began when our ‘leaders' began emphasizing ‘rights and privileges instead of obligations and responsibilities. In the mind-set of the redistributionist’s, who were once content to create "social justice" by taking money from those that earned it and redistributing it to those that didn't they have a new game. It's the transfer of wealth of Americans to the third world. Under the auspices of the U.N. this was the basis for the Cap and Trade hoax that would have stifled U.S. competitiveness and the wealth creating powers of business in the name of “man made global warming.” Ah yes, as in all scams one must follow the money. Who would have benefited? Al Gore of course and the carbon traders that set up a market that was as flawed as the offerings of many of the dot.com companies that disappeared earlier in the decade. Joe the plumber was right when he uttered the simple phrase to then candidate Obama, "sounds like socialism to me." Shultz's blazing rhetoric was filled with slogans from the sixties. He brought such time-worn phrases as,” Workers of the world Unite", "evil corporations" the virtue of unions. All, misguided platitudes pure and simple. Shultz and his followers are clueless on the reality that their mantra consistently results in hurting the poor and less fortunate among us. He would have us believe that the wealth creators, the greedy rich and greedy business owners who outsource jobs overseas, when the reality is a polar opposite. One day the socialists among us will eventually understand the words attributed to Margaret Thatcher, “One of the problems with socialism is eventually you run out of other people's money.” Is that such a terribly difficult concept to understand or one the socialist mind refuses to contemplate? Aggressive action must be undertaken by the new congress. They must reduce spending levels back to those of 2008; begin cutting the infrastructure of the departments of (just name one) while keeping our Defense Department and a completely reorganized Department of Homeland Security functioning optimally. More federal and union jobs must be moved to the private sector. Bankrupt states like California must consider filing bankruptcy so that the public employees now making twice the wages of their counter parts in the private sector, and union employees can be brought back to the table, given a reality check, they will negotiate, fearing the likelihood of receiving quarters on the dollar in retirement packages and benefits. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, I'm J.C. Jim Campbell runs Charging Elephants.
