Recently I was reading the December 27, 2010 Rusty Weiss article at American Thinker;
Obama Destined to be a Footnote in Presidential History, and a very clear scenario materialized in my mind’s eye.
Imagine with me that you're driving along and all of a sudden you see a sign. "NEW 52" FLAT SCREEN TV'S - $250". OHMYGOSH! Look at the picture on the box! It's gorgeous! It has all of the newest, fanciest capabilities! It says it has even newer, fancier capabilities than all the rest!! Strangely, they won’t let you open the box, but they assure you it’s everything you ever wanted in a TV and more!
Unfortunately, when you get the box home and open it up, not only is it not last year’s model, it's not even a TV. It's nothing but a chunk of wood from the local scrap heap. You were lied to. Worse, you can't complain to the police because they work for the shyster salesman. You can’t complain to the courts because they’re filled with overly sympathetic judges from the shyster's old school. Finally, you can’t complain to the press because, come to find out, the press owns the scrap heap. That's what the Barack Hussein (aka Barry Soetoro) Obama presidency has been and currently is; a piece of scrap wood sold as a beautiful new 52" flat screen TV.
Barack Hussein (aka Barry Soetoro) Obama, child of the world who spent years 6-10 in Jakarta, had no experience, but he didn't need any. He promised HOPE AND CHANGE! The few people who tried to look could find no background on him because it was locked away from public view; but he promised HOPE AND CHANGE!
Through it all, Barack Hussein (aka Barry Soetoro) Obama's early learned, and often reinforced, socialist vision was completely glossed over as, wait for it, Barack Hussein (aka Barry Soetoro) Obama promised HOPE AND CHANGE! And the press, filled with socialist sycophants giddy to finally be on the path to Nirvana, glossed over the complete lack of Barack Hussein (aka Barry Soetoro) Obama’s known background to provide 24/7 support to his over-hyped HOPE AND CHANGE!
In the past two years, the American people have lost a lot, and by all accounts, will lose more during the presidency of Barack Hussein (aka Barry Soetoro) Obama. However, because the courts and the press refused to follow up on 2008's version of scrap wood TV sold to the country as an unbelievable flat screen, the American people had to bypass the experts and open the box for ourselves. I’m glad we did because, like some sappy '60’s movie, we found ourselves in the process. We found what we loved America and we found our voices. Seriously, does anyone reading this believe that, in less than a year, millions of patriotic Americans who had never so much as marched outside of a 4th of July or Christmas Parade would take to the streets in the largest movement since, well…. ever?
50 strong states, or one all-powerful central government
Since November 2008, I’ve wanted to write about Two Americas. It’s a notion that repeatedly comes back to me when I see another un-vetted czar given nearly unlimited power or Barack Hussein (aka Barry Soetoro) Obama on the tube selling another socialist theory as an economy saving measure. In fact, I’ve had an empty email sitting in my inbox with nothing but the words “Two Americas?” in the subject line since March of 2009. You see, coming out of the 2008 elections and during Barack Hussein (aka Barry Soetoro) Obama’s first two months in office, I was convinced we were headed down a path to Two Americas - one that wanted 50 strong united states that stood up to the evils of the world and one America which wanted an all-powerful central government that repeatedly apologized for its strength and wanted nothing better than our eventual downfall.
I am now convinced that the heart of America is not dead but merely atrophied
To be honest, I’m not sure if we are or are not destined for a full head-to-head confrontation between these two Americas. However, after this past year I am now convinced that we can survive Barack Hussein (aka Barry Soetoro) Obama’s damage in the long term. I am now convinced that the heart of America is not dead but merely atrophied. Ironically, Barack Hussein (aka Barry Soetoro) Obama, in his stumbling bumbling way, gave the heart of America the jolt it so desperately needed. He won’t be happy with the result, by any means, but we should give him credit for its awakening.
I know in my heart America will choose Freedom and Individualism
Recently, Time magazine wrote off the Tea Party movement as irrelevant because its mission supposedly concluded on 2 Nov 2010. Is this really true? Will Americans go back to sleep while decisions are being made to turn 1/6th of our economy over to full government control or to rein in out-of-control spending or to simply kick our fiscal can further down the road? Only time will tell, but I know in my heart America will choose Freedom and Individualism.
Barack Hussein (aka Barry Soetoro) Obama’s first two years in office have been, shall we say, enlightening. His policies were disastrous, no question, but enlightening nonetheless because we were clearly shown what the press refused to tell us in advance. We were clearly shown what the courts won’t stand up against. We were clearly shown that 2009 and 2010 proved, in no uncertain terms, when Barack Hussein (aka Barry Soetoro) Obama promised HOPE AND CHANGE; what he really meant was he would lead us down the dead end path to SOCIALISM.
On 02 November 2010, the America of 50 states said no. On 06 November 2012, the America of 50 states will say hell no.
