It enjoys an ever-increasing number of page views, currently close to 2 million and counting.

From Acquaintance to Friend
Alan and I first met (electronically) a few years ago. Since then, we have communicated via email frequently on many different subjects. However, we have yet to meet face to face; I hope there is an opportunity soon.
Whenever I ask Alan for some advice (a regular occurrence to this day), he shoots back an answer almost instantaneously. I suspect he is glued to his monitor or something more i-like. Most of the time, Alan’s emails are matter-of-fact, unmistakably clear as to his message. Once in a while though, without any warning, he enjoys having a little fun – at your expense. He throws you for a loop and you need to figure out what is up and what is down.
Alan Caruba has been a free thinker throughout his journalistic career, open-minded, truthful and to the point. His incisive comments have greatly influenced many movers and shakers, those in power and others, like you and me. Alan never shies away from speaking his mind, dispensing commentaries to friends and foes alike. His steadfastness in getting to the bottom of it all, in seeing beyond the superficial claims, in speaking the truth is simply exemplary.
Alan’s breadth of knowledge and amazing productivity must be the envy of any aspiring journalist. While you might succeed in prying the gun out of Charlton Heston’s cold dead hands, don’t ever think of taking away Alan’s key board. It would be futile, you could not stop him ever - nor would you want to! Just remember the old proverb, slightly modified here: the key board is mightier than the gun!
