Seven months....

Jay Carney: ‘Benghazi happened a long time ago’

Thanks to Jay Carney, we now have the administration's official definition of what constitutes a "long time." Apparently, it's about seven months.
Seven months ago, our consulate was attacked by terrorist forces, four Americans were murdered, and the Obama admin started lying to hide its - at best - gross negligence. Jay Carney would prefer that the media stop bugging him about it because, as he puts it, "Benghazi happened a long time ago." So 7 months is "a long time." Gotcha.

Sorry, Jay, but we're faced with a Jihadist enemy that thinks in terms of hundreds of years. In their long-term view, 7 months is nothing. It's an insignificant fly-speck of time. Heck, seven months is barely enough time to have a Democrat-approved third trimester abortion. I guess all the unsolved murders in America should be ignored if they occurred more than seven months ago because, well, that's such a "long time" that no one could possibly care anymore. If a person hasn't paid their taxes for the last five years, can we assume that the IRS will only be investigating their income for only the last 7 months? I mean, anything prior to that happened such a "long time" ago. Similarly, it seems we can no longer blame George Bush for anything he did as President since he left office back in 2009. That's more than six "long times" ago. With all seriousness, it takes a staggering level of hubris to suggest that the Benghazi attacks are some kind of distant, faded, half-forgotten memory because they took place all of 7 months ago. I suppose we should expect no better of this administration, but still.... Amazing.
