We have a new pet, well sort of. Rather than us adopting it, the skunk adopted us. Mr. or Mrs. Whitestripe is especially fond of our lawn.

By-Laws

Of course the local progressive lawn by-laws prevent you from using anything that would stop the weeds and grubs from taking over. For example, our neighbor’s lawn has turned into a highly productive dandelion patch.

Free Lawn Care

Not knowing much about lawn maintenance, I presume it needs regular aeration by way of digging holes into it. Our pet does that for free. Where required, even whole strips of lawn are rolled up for better contact with the atmosphere. Nothing but the finest lawn maintenance will do for us.

Apartment Balconies

I have read that skunks make great pets and like to live on apartment balconies as well. Most tenement contracts allow only quiet (no barking or meowing ever), small (size of a Chihuahua), clean (no smell if not molested), friendly (could not give a hoot about you), not dangerous (does not bite) animals as pets. Our pole cat fulfills all of these conditions; in other words, it’s an ideal pet.

Next Generation

I think there is a new generation coming along soon. I’d love to share it with my readers. So, if you like to have a different pet, just drop me a line – please.
