House to explore whether lying liar Holder’s obvious lie is legal perjury

No one needs to "investigate" whether Eric Holder lied. He lied. I'll show you. It's not even complicated.
On May 15, while testifying under oath before the House Judiciary Committee, Holder said this: "In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material — this is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy." Since then, we learned that Holder personally signed off on the DOJ's request for a warrant against James Rosen, which was justified with the claim that Rosen was suspected of being a criminal co-conspirator in a leak of classified information.

Thus, cut and dried, Holder lied. Now of all people, the very congressman to whom Holder lied, Democrat Rep. Hank "Tip Guam Over" Johnson of Georgia, is actually trying to defend him. The Hill reports:
Justice did not return a request for comment, but Johnson on Tuesday defended Holder, arguing his statement was specific to Johnson’s line of questioning about the Espionage Act and not meant to pertain to other investigations. “The attorney general’s statement that no journalists have been prosecuted under the Espionage Act during his tenure is accurate,” he told The Hill.
But that's not what Holder said. He said he had never been involved with, or heard of, "potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material." That was a lie. The warrant request on which Holder signed off clearly said Rosen was being investigated as a criminal co-conspirator. If that doesn't represent "potential prosecution" for "disclosure of material," then nothing does. Eric Holder lied. That is a fact. It is not a matter of debate. The only question is whether it can be shown to be perjury, and that doesn't strike me as a difficult hurdle either, although I am not a lawyer and I'm sure there is more to this sort of thing than I know. But let's dispense with the talk that makes it sound like there's any question about the central fact. Eric Holder is a lying liar who lied, and got busted. If he remains as attorney general, that may be a bigger scandal than the ones we're already dealing with.
