"The problem right now is we don't have Republicans willing to stand up and do this," Cruz said. "We need 41 Republicans in the Senate or 218 Republicans in the House, to stand together, to join me, to join Mike Lee, to join Marco Rubio, all of whom have said: we will not vote for a single continuing resolution that funds even a penny of ObamaCare." This morning, he picked up where he left off. During today's Heritage Foundation blogger's briefing, Cruz brought the heat for nearly a full hour. Victory in the fight to defund will hinge on making a threat to shut down the government, and then winning the public opinion battle as Obama and Harry Reid begin to scream. Essentially, he views the Obamacare fight as a larger version of the recent gun control battle. The grass roots will have to force unwilling Republican politicians to grow some backbone and fight for the desires of their constituency. It's a tall order, but Cruz thinks he can get it done and he lays out a compelling, incisive plan to do so. If there's one question I'm asked more than any other, it's "What can we do to bring down the ACA beast? How do we fight?" Cruz answered that question this morning. Get on board and support him, because this fight is coming quicker than you think. Below is the complete video. Cruz's segment is about 45 minutes. It's brilliant stuff and well worth your time.
