'Did I mention that it's affordable?'

Pelosi: You peons should stop calling it ObamaCare. It's 'affordable'

The word "ObamaCare" has been through a lot of ups and downs. Sometimes, when they need to put their best foot forward, Democrats will tell you how proud they are of the term. Then, the next day, when things don't go so well, they tell you "ObamaCare" is racist. This is usually followed by the "ObamaCare is awesome and, when everyone likes it, conservatives are going to be sorry for calling it ObamaCare" argument.
It's sort of little the way they tell you "climate change isn't weather" until it gets hot outside. Then, suddenly, it is. Apparently, we're back to "ObamaCare" being a bad thing again, because Nancy Pelosi doesn't want you using the term. As she forcefully points out, it's called the "Affordable Care Act." There's a reason they gave it that name, and they're worried people won't realize just how wonderfully "affordable" it is if the world keeps calling it "ObamaCare." During a press conference this week, she scolded a reporter who dared use the "O-word" when asking if the law would be a "political loser" during the midterms. Pelosi reminded him of the new law's inescapable, all-encompassing, affordability, and then went on to say the word "affordable" 15 times in less than 2 minutes.

“It’s called the Affordable Care Act. It’s called the Affordable Care Act. I know you didn’t intend any compliment or derogatory. It’s called the Affordable Care Act, and the Affordable Care Act, when people know what it is and see what it means to them, and that’s the case that we have to make.” “...And I tell him the same thing I told you. Affordable. Affordable. There’s a reason: Affordable. Affordable. Affordable. Affordable. Affordable. The reason they changed the name of it is because they wanted to get away, the opponents, from the word affordable. And that’s why I’m patient with some of these comments. Whatever it is; it’s infinitely more affordable than the path that we’re on without it.”
Riiiight. Opponents are having such trouble getting away from how "affordable" this is. Maybe Nancy thinks that, if she can just say it enough, she'll be able to magically convince you that ObamaCare isn't an overpriced boondoggle that's raising your rates and premiums. Please let us know when she has you properly brainwashed.
