Reporter dares to ask Obama a question about Syria; President storms off in a snit

Yesterday, Real Clear Politics' White House correspondent Alexis Simendinger did the unthinkable.

She asked President Obama a question about policy. I know, I know. He's not used to getting legitimate inquiries from the press. Maybe that's why things didn't go so well. Simendinger asked the President about reports that the White House is sending US military personnel to Syria, where they will help train rebel factions to fight Assad's forces. Obama was incensed. “I’m sorry. We’re doing a science fair," he snapped. "C’mon. ...c’mon.” With that he turned and shuffled out of the room. Here's the video: According to the White House pool report, this is what it looked like when: "President Obama declined to respond to a POOL question about reports the US is sending trainers to help rebels in Syria." Now, no one's saying that the President has to answer every question, from every reporter, at all times. However, this is a guy who seems loath to field anything but the softest of softballs. More importantly, if he's going to refuse, there's a way to do it that wouldn't make him look like an exasperated eight-year-old who's throwing a tantrum. (h/t Breitbart)
