MSNBC: The Church can help with immigration ...as long as they shut up about their 'scary' God.

If you haven't noticed, the Catholic Church has a major problem on its hands. Many of its Bishops (in particular Los Angeles Archbishop José Gomez) have been strong supporters of "comprehensive immigration reform" and even Pope Francis took to Twitter last year to announce that "We pray for a heart which will embrace immigrants. God will judge us upon how we have treated the most needy."
Depending on whom you ask, this is happening for one of two reasons. Either A: The Church is a compassionate organization which places charity above borders, or B: They're flooding the U.S. with generations of probable future Catholics in a desperate bid to shore up their money and power. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle but, as HermanCain.com's resident Catholic, I can tell you that I've yet to meet another Church member who thinks it's a good idea. This stance - at least in my experience - is deeply unpopular, just as it is in the secular political realm. Unfortunately, just as Obama is ignoring the will of the voters, the Vatican doesn't seem particularly interested in what church-goers think.

So, over the last few weeks, we've seen all sorts of pro-illegal pleas from the pulpit, including efforts to house illegals, etc. You would think that the left would be loving this. After all, one of their traditional enemies has embraced the progressive cause-du-jour. You'd be wrong though. It seems that liberals' general hatred for God trumps their desire to damage the United States. As the following, completely incoherent, guest on MSNBC reminds us, the Catholic Church is free to support left-wing causes - they just shouldn't mention God, Jesus, or any of that "religion stuff" while doing so. After all, their desire to spread the word of God "is extremely scary..."
