Please accept my admiration on your decision to elicit input from people around the World for your upcoming Encyclical on “Climate Change”. This undertaking is a monumental task that requires consideration of many aspects of mankind and the natural environment we live in.
Being aware that you have already had numerous communications on that subject for your consideration, I will be as brief as possible.

Mankind is indeed at a crossroads. We can either proceed on the basis of “business as usual” or start to truly learn from our collective past and experience. Right now, at the time when the bounty of mankind’s knowledge, accumulated over hundreds of years, should start to bear fruit, we read of thousands of peace-loving people being starved to death or murdered with unspeakable atrocities, many of them Christians. I encourage you to continue to speak out against such inhuman persecutions.
In terms of your upcoming Encyclical, please also consider the voices that contradict the widely touted claim that “the science is settled”. Nothing could be further from the truth!
As a scientist and author of hundreds of articles in the scientific and popular press domains, I urge you to consider all available information on the basis of their veracity rather than popularity or their perceived “political correctness”. The World truly needs some good guidance on this subject, independent from today’s political or business interests and their activist groups.
The atmospheric trace gas (o.o4 %) “carbon dioxide” is absolutely vital to all life on earth. It is neither a pollutant nor contributing to any climate change. The poor and persecuted people of the world would be better served by learning how to improve their livelihood than by proclamations of carbon dioxide or climate change as the “biggest threat to mankind”.
They are not!
